February 2023 Release

We are making some major upgrades to the NexHealth Synchronizer™ that improve data insertion speeds. We’ve also published a new guide about how to install the Synchronizer at the practices using your software. Read on to learn more.

Even faster data insertion speeds

2392

This month, we’re rolling out updates to the NexHealth Synchronizer that will make it faster to insert data into on-prem practice management systems.

As more developers and practices have started using NexHealth, we’ve increased the scale of our data ingestion. At times, this has slowed down our write cycles — meaning it could take several minutes to insert data into on-prem practice management systems.

Once these updates are complete, you can expect forms, appointments, and more to insert in under 30 seconds.

No action is needed to take advantage of this upgrade. You and your customers will experience the benefits automatically.

NexHealth Synchronizer install guide

The NexHealth Synchronizer is our in-house technology that lets dental and medical practices sync their data with developers' apps. We’ve published a guide with instructions for how to install the Synchronizer at each practice that uses your software.

The guide includes step-by-step instructions for installing the Synchronizer on servers that run on-prem practice management systems. It also explains how to enable the Synchronizer to work with cloud-based practice management systems.

If you have any questions when installing the Synchronizer, please reach out to us at [email protected].

Test out the API with our Postman collection

Our Postman collection is one of the easiest ways to make your first API request. If you haven't used Postman before, you can think of it as a way to make requests with just a couple of clicks. We’ve prebuilt some of the most popular API calls that developers use, so you can get hands-on quickly without having to write any code.

Our Postman collection is completely free to use. To get started, open this link in a new tab. This copies our collection and environment to your Postman account. If you don't already have a free account, you'll be prompted to create one.

You can read more about how to get started with Postman in our guide.
