Spring - April 2024 Release

We’ve added new functionality to the NexHealth Developer Portal – increasing your visibility into Synchronizer performance and usage across all your practice locations.

Check sync status

You can now view the last read/write time on each sync in the Developer Portal. This allows you to proactively monitor your syncs and also restart a practice’s sync if necessary, without needing to contact NexHealth Support.

Monitor API usage

We’ve added visibility into API usage in the Portal. Navigate to the API Usage tab to review your total API calls, broken out by day, subdomain (Institution), and endpoint. The Usage tab also provides helpful visuals for understanding API call trends – giving you insight into your usage and a better understanding of how much you’re spending with NexHealth. You can also now download a .csv of active locations for reporting purposes.

Check out our Developer Portal Guide for more information on how to create Institutions and syncs, install the Synchronizer, add users, and more.

See NexHealth’s system status

In addition to sync status visibility in the Developer Portal, you can now view the status of several NexHealth services such as authentication, API endpoints, and sandbox environments on our general status page.

The status page is useful in the unlikely case of an incident or outage from NexHealth. For example, you can view whether the Patient Communications or Scheduling endpoints are currently operational.

Synchronizer API product updates

  • You can now use the Alerts endpoint to create alerts that pop up when the patient file is opened in the practice management system, providing crucial information to office staff. You can also use this endpoint to disable alerts that were created via the Synchronizer. This endpoint currently supports Dentrix, Dentrix Enterprise, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental. Learn more about the Alerts endpoint.
  • The Synchronizer now automatically detects updates to the Dentrix Enterprise version in use at a practice and adjusts the sync configuration accordingly – leading to fewer broken syncs.

Meet the other NexHealth Changelog

Your customers who also use the NexHealth Patient Experience Platform can now stay up-to-date on all the latest updates by referencing the NexHealth Changelog.

The Changelog is updated weekly and searchable based on which products an office may be using.
