ModMed credential provisioning

ModMed credential provisioning

NexHealth will require 2 ModMed users to be created for the sole purpose of the integration. These users should be unique and not shared by a staff member. One user should have a “Clinical” role while the other user should have a “Management” role. Please see the list below for the permissions needed for each user.

Clinical staff account:

The Clinical user will require permissions with access to the areas listed below.

  • Book at Unavailable Times - To apply this permission, follow these steps when logged in as an administrator user:
  1. Click Practice Management Settings
  2. Click Appointment & Calendar
  3. Click Calendar
  4. Choose a provider
  5. Choose a location
  6. Click Calendar Access Permissions


The following menus must be accessible via the Clinical user account

  • Patients tab

  • Schedule tab

  • Appt Flow tab (waitlist)
  • Document Mgmt
  • Access to Patients → (navigate to a patient profile) → Patient Clipboard
    • Past Medical History
    • Medications
    • Allergies

Management staff account:

We require a Management Account with an Administrator role (Not an Assistant Administrator). Management users will require permission access to the areas listed below.

  • Practice Settings → Event Logs → Audit Event Logs

  • Practice Management Settings → Appointment & Calendar → Appointment Types
  • Practice Management Settings → Appointment & Calendar → Reason For Visit
  • Practice Management Settings → Locations → Manage Locations

  • Practice Management Settings → Locations → Provider Groups

  • Practice Management Settings → Appointment & Calendar → Calendar
  • Practice Settings → Categories & Tags → Manage Document Categories
