Insurance

The v3.0.0 insurance endpoints are read-only. These three write: create an insurance plan, enroll a patient in one, and end a patient's coverage.

These endpoints are on v3.1.0 (beta). Sandbox keys can call it; production keys need access for your organization. See Versioning.

• The writes are sent to Dentrix, Eaglesoft and Open Dental. On other systems the API accepts the call and the change stays in NexHealth.
• insurance_plan_insertion, insurance_coverage_insertion and insurance_coverage_deleted webhooks tell you whether the change landed. Each fires on success and on failure; the outcome is the suffix on event_name: .complete, .failed or .timed_out. See Testing writes, per system.
