Overview
A treatment plan is a set of procedures a provider recommends for a patient. A provider usually creates a plan after an exam. Practices use them to present treatment options, help patients understand out-of-pocket costs and record the planned care before work begins.
A treatment plan can contain one or more procedures. A patient can have more than one treatment plan.
Example use cases
-
Use the view treatment plan endpoints to show patients their proposed procedures online. Patients can approve them or ask questions before the practice schedules the work.
-
Use treatment plan data to build a follow-up workflow that reminds patients about treatment plans they have not finished or accepted. This improves case acceptance rates.
